The 2025/26 winter season was marked by significant weather variability and challenging avalanche conditions across many mountain regions: 7,377 avalanche control missions, 4,695 detections, and more than 7,000 situation assessments underscore the high level of avalanche activity throughout the season. Our systems provided the necessary information around the clock for informed decisions in avalanche risk management. Together with our customers and partners, we were thus able to make an important contribution to the safety of people, transportation routes, and infrastructure.
