New Hall D – An important step into the future

A lot has happened at Wyssen in recent years: with the development of new innovative products and the opening of additional markets, the company has continued to grow. This success has increased the demands on our current production, assembly, and logistics facilities. To ensure that Wyssen can continue to offer our customers the highest quality products with minimal delivery times, construction of a new assembly and storage hall began in October 2025.

Why a new hall? – A look behind the scenes

With every innovation, the demands on our infrastructure also increase. New products such as IDA®, LIA®, GINA®, the mini tower oder the Wyssen Avalanche Tower LS24, as well as the latest developments for Wyssen Seilbahnen, require special assembly conditions and new technical requirements. At the same time, the existing manufacturing facilities are reaching their capacity limits – in production, storage, and process optimization.

The new Hall D will address these issues:

  • More space for increased efficiency so that assembly and storage can be optimally organized.
  • Better production conditions for modern products that require special environments or equipment.
  • Greater flexibility to continue to respond quickly to increasing demand.

An important part of the project is the reorganization of the production and storage areas:
The warehousing and production lines of Wyssen Seilbahnen and Wyssen Defence will be relocated to the new Hall D. This will create additional space in Hall C, which will benefit Wyssen Avalanche Control AG – creating increased efficiency, capacity, and optimal conditions for innovation of new technology.
The expansion also creates a basis for future technologies and business areas such as robotics. The previous lack of space slowed down these developments, but now a flexible framework for the future is being created.

Growth for the coming years

The planned expansion will not only grow our infrastructure – but our team will also be expanded. In the coming years, we will hire more skilled workers for assembly, mechanics, sales, and software development. In doing so, we are consciously investing in the future of the local economy and creating attractive jobs in the region.

Focus on sustainability

As with every project, sustainability plays a central role in the construction of Hall D. The new hall will enable the expansion of the photovoltaic system, thereby contributing to more efficient and environmentally friendly energy use. We already generate 180 kW of solar power today—with the expansion, we will increase our output by a further 240 kW. In doing so, we are consistently investing in a sustainable, future-oriented energy supply and noticeably reducing our ecological footprint. The responsible use of resources is a tradition at Wyssen – and this was underlined in 2025 with the successful ISO 14001 certification. ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized standard for environmental management systems. It helps companies to systematically improve their environmental performance, reduce their environmental impact, and comply with legal requirements. With Hall D, we are consistently continuing along this path and creating the conditions for sustainable and resource-efficient business practices in the future.
